Meet Roy Moore

Roy Moore is stepping into a new chapter this school year as the principal of Spring Forest Middle School (SFMS)—bringing with him a legacy of high expectations, community-driven leadership, and a deep commitment to Every Child.

After four impactful years leading Landrum Middle School (LMS), Moore is excited to join the Bobcat community.

“I’m incredibly honored to be the new principal at Spring Forest,” said Moore. “I’m looking forward to building strong relationships, continuing great traditions, and working together to push student achievement to new heights. I’m proud to be a Bobcat!”

With 23 years in education—12 as a principal—Moore’s journey began as a special education teacher and coach. He went on to serve as an assistant principal, then principal at Nottingham Elementary, and most recently, at Landrum Middle School (LMS) in SBISD.

At LMS, Moore established the motto “Lions Never Settle,” a reflection of his leadership style rooted in excellence, perseverance, and belief in every student’s potential.

Described by colleagues as someone who knows every student and every family, Moore believes deeply in the power of connection and consistency.

His focus? "I’m focused on re-establishing our identity of who we are and what we expect from our Bobcats. There’s been a lot of changes at SFMS, and I’m excited to chart a new direction and create a culture that’s committed to improving student achievement at the highest levels. It’s a new day at SFMS, and the best is yet to come. Let’s Go Bobcats!"
